Goals of the week
In a fun and international environment, your child will develop their English and explore science through hands-on activities.
English – differentiated activities and games for everyone
- Make conversation, learn through short, fun role-plays, express likes and dislikes and learn essential turns of phrase.
- Develop the ear and ability to articulate in order to gain confidence in English.
- Deepen command of the language and expand vocabulary through more detailed storytelling.
Some activities reinforce afternoon scientific activities – for example, making ice-cream in the morning and understanding the science in the afternoon.
Art and Science
- Understand basic scientific concepts by doing, e.g. evaporation, using water as a driving force (water wheel), the color wheel
- To illustrate and confirm their knowledge through experimentation, observation such as comparing results with classmates, and perfecting designs or structures until they work!
- Relax, deepen learning and recharge through artwork
Why English and science?
We’re immersed in English and science! Yet the perception that science is “hard” sometimes prevents us from understanding how things work.
So we’ll be looking at fundamental scientific concepts and presenting them through fun, interactive activities. Let’s set the stage for children to better understand the theoretical approaches they encounter at school.
Through games, pictures and crafts, beginners learn about sounds by listening, repeating and participating, while more advanced students deepen their vocabulary and use English as much as possible. Everyone starts talking from day one – don’t worry, it’s exciting and natural. Fun role-playing allows beginners to hold a conversation, and more advanced learners enjoy improvising. We’re all winners.
Level of English
From beginner to native – our activities are designed to differentiate levels as needed.
